The Distant Learning Program
Corrina came across this in a box of old photos that used to be on our fridge in Hermosa Beach. Bake and I used to exchange mixes through the mail. We would try and figure out the artists/songs before getting the tracklist. This particular time, Baker set a condition that our roommate, Kristi, had to get so many right before she could get a copy of the mix. I wonder how our one student is doing these days.

GROWN Mix
Here is a mix I made strictly for moi. It's a blend of rock: southern, classic, country, and folk. Overall, pretty mellow. I made it a bit before Cadence was born. At the time, I had been listening to music that I was exposed to growing up in North Carolina. Some of the songs were actual ones that I remember being played around the house, while others are numbers I've found later that are in a similar vein. I wonder if the music I'm playing today will leave a profound impression on Cadence. I hope so... better than the junk currently played on mainstream radio stations. See I am getting old and bitter!
Anyway, it's available for download as a zip file. Love it or hate it, it's all one track blended together. I kinda like that format for the iPod. Anyway... enjoy.

Jan 12 - I'm 5 months old!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! We figured it would be a good day to try some "solid food." Cadence with her first taste of rice milk. Yum.
This ain't so bad.
After that giant meal (one teaspoon worth of rice with one tablespoon of milk), Cadence wanted to go on a walk to burn those calories. It was pretty chilly today.
There's Dad... burning and adding calories at the same time.
Back in the toasty house... we wrapped things up with a game of roll the ball.
Considering how gray and cold the weather was, we made the most of the day. Coco and I are heading to the Duke vs. Virginia game this evening. Hope they pull out a win!
WE ALSO WANTED TO GIVE A HUGE CONGRATS TO THE YURAS FAMILY! MIKE AND CARA ARE NOW PROUD PARENTS OF A BABY GIRL. WELCOME TO THE WORLD ANNA! CADENCE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YA!
