The Newest Sensation

As some may have heard, M.I.A. went into labor after her performance at the Grammy's. Eric was showing me a clip of the number via pitchfork.com, and that's where we stumbled across the above clip. I love the whispered "prego shuffle" chorus. Interesting that those colors and shades are what's what these days.

January walks in Duke Gardens

In between the winter days of January there is normally a nice warm day to take a walk in Duke Gardens. At the end of January 2008, I took Cadence and Raleigh on that walk. Our then 5 month old was just starting to sit up so it was very cute when she sat up in these over-sized chairs in the gardens. This year Cadence is 17 months old and it is pretty impossible to get her to sit still at all, and Raleigh doesn't get to take walks as much, so he really didn't want to "sit" either. Maybe next year will be a little easier.
