Cadence's 1st Haircut

BEFORE

AFTER

Cadence had a hair appointment today at 12:30. Great Grandma Pat (Tom's Grandma) and MeMa (Corrina's Mom) brought Cadence to Peek-a-Do after babysitting her all morning. I got off of work and Tom met us there on his lunch break, so we all were there for this big event. Since day 1, Cadence has had all-that-hair, so now that she is coming up on her 1st birthday we had to get the hair did! She was a happy little angel the whole time and just was very curious about what was going on. Here is the photo diary.

Wisconsin Flora & Fauna #4

I said to Andy, "Wow, that red rope is as long as Matty." I Guess he wanted to make sure.

This doesn't fully qualify as a "flora" shot, but nevertheless, here are the fellas giving their trademarked "Kwahamot Salute." We were doing this the rest of the vacation whenever a greeting was in order. Silly.

Wisconsin Flora & Fauna #3

These are some happy folks.

Doing this every night made our trip feel like "vacation."

Wisconsin Flora & Fauna #2

Good ol' fashion fun. It seems that these two could grow up to be good friends, maybe more. ; ) They'll make it as long as Matty is able to handle being "First Gentleman" to a supermodel President.

We joined some UNC coworkers for a bite to eat in the historic Third Ward District of Milwaukee. Our restaurant, "Water Buffalo" was situated on the Wisconsin river (where we watched the Kwahamot Ski Show, but 4 hours upstream). I had to sneak out for a few pics.

Wisconsin Flora & Fauna #1

As told below, Corrina, Cadence and I took a 12 day trip to Wisconsin. We joined the Hornburgs (Joel is originally from Oconomowoc, WI) on the 4th day of the trip, and stuck together from then on. We stayed the first 4 days in Milwaukee, the next 4 days at a lakeside cabin hand-built by Joel's great-grandfather (near Minocqua, WI), and the final 4 days in Oconomowoc. We shot over 300 pictures so I figured we'd weed out our favorites over the next week or so by posting 2 snapshots a day. So, here we go:
This is possibly my favorite shot. The 3 Hornburg boys sitting on the banks of the Wisconsin River during the Kwahamot Ski Show, which, by the way, was awesome.

This is my current desktop wallpaper. Sundown shot of Prairie Lake (where the Hornburg cabin sits). The lake was this glassy all day.

WISCO

Prolly should have posted this earlier, but we're currently in beeeyuuteefull Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with our good friends, The Hornburgs. We're on our 10th day of 12. It's been (as Duane would say) stellar. We've romped all over the state, taken lots of pics, and will get them up when we return. Here's where we are currently resting our heads (and sipping back on Leinenkugel's):

You Betcha!
